UNMOUNTABLE-BOOT-VOLUME

STOP: 0x000000ED (0X823AC628, 0XC0000006, 0X00000000, 0X00000000

I have tried everything to change the way it boots and still I get the same message. My laptop has no cd rom so how do try to fix this mess????

Do you have the XP Recovery Console installed?

Do you have your Dell Diagnostics CD?

Unmountable Boot Volume

The normal way of attempting to overcome this...is to run the chkdsk /r command from the XP Recovery Console (if the system won't boot).
