Have an ACER ASpire 3690 which I've had to reconfigure as it was getting full up, so removed hard disk partitioning and Acer eRecovery items. Now my PC doesn't play any audio, or see any audio devide at all.

The hardware driver error 28 comes up. Where can I get that fixed from? Is that on a windows XP file or from ACER ? Thankshttp://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dance.gif

It sounds as if you need the audio drivers.

You can download the drivers from Acer.

Start HERE:Acer Support

Choose the product, then the product line, then the model.

When the Operating System box shows, look just below that to the line Operating System. Use the drop-down arrow to choose your OS.

Below the boxes you will see Audio. Download and install the drivers.
