I have Windows Vista all up-to-date with everything needed. Recently something has been happening. While im just doing something, like playing a computer game, it restarts randomly. I am sure i press no special combination of keys. I also get blue screens quite alot. I run my anti-virus system (Panda anti-virus) and it finds nothing (Just so you know ahead of time anti-virus programs i need to pay for are out of the picture). Please someone help me and thank you ahead of time.

Hi, let's investigate these blue screens a bit.

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html.

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When scanning is done, Edit/Select All.

Then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

I cannot download the Blue Screen View because it says that both the links for the zipped and the full file are broken.

Temperatures are fine.

Some infection may be another reason for your errors.

With the information you have provided I believe you will need help from the malware removal team. I would like you to start a new thread and post a DDS log HERE and include a link to this thread. Please make sure that you read the information about getting started before you start your thread.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient. Help is on the way!

I have windows Vista. It is up-to-date and has been working fine since i got it. Then i got Anti-Malware Doctor (Rogue Virus). So I followed the instructions in the BleepingComputer.com Spyware Removal tab. I thought i had gotten ridden of it but new evidence proves otherwise. I might have a different virus all together but im thinking now that it is remnants of Anti-Maleware Doctor. Not knowing for sure if it was a virus that I knew I started a different forum Here. I downloaded the things they said and tried them, then i posted the results. Then it was suggested i try here. Although i think it is Anti-Maleware Doctor leftovers some interesting happened today. When my little brother came over to my computer he leaned against the wall. However, his legs hit the computer and then the computer went into a blue screen. I don't know if that means that something inside my computer is messed up in some way, or if it was just a coincidence. I don't even know if that could produce a blue screen. So please help me, and Thank You ahead of time.

Hello,

I merged your latest topic to your previously existing topic as you somehow missed the fact that there is a preparation guide you need to follow before posting in that forum. To restate the instructions Hamluis gave you in a different way: Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include the link to this topic in your new topic, a description of your computer issues, and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

Orange Blossom
Help us help you. If HelpBot replies, you MUST follow step 1 in its reply so we know you need help.
