I have Similar sort of thing but not slowing down, i can be working away and the pc will freeze, nothing goes off, just the pc screen mouse pointer freezes, only way to recover is switch off/on.

Help please.

System manufacturer and model, please?

Laptop or desktop?

Do you have a MS Windows install CD?

Any onscreen error messages?

Have you checked Event Viewer for possible clues?
