which antivirus?

I currently have norton 360 not sure whether to renew it because I have been told in the past that Avira is more effective and FREE!

anyone got any advice? thanks

I'm a personal user of Avira Antivir Free and am a big fan of it. Another extremely popular choice is Avast! Free. The main issue here is that Avira and Avast! are free for personal, non-commercial use only!.

Note: You should only have one antivirus installed at a time. Having more than one antivirus program installed at once is likely to cause conflicts and may well decrease your overall protection as well as impairing the performance of your PC.
