Good Morning,
I'm having a problem that has me temporarily stumped.
Here's the background
Computer Specs.
Gateway desktop GM5478 about 3 years old
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Core with VT
Chip set Intel G33
Memory 4 gigs
Hard drive 500
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 256 Mb

On the 23rd I started getting the BSOD when I booted up. I booted to safe mode and then restarted and the pc came up and working all day. While it was working I did some research on BSOD. I found a program that would de-code the mini dump and some tips on things that could be wrong. Since then every morning when I boot up I get a BSOD, I boot to safe mode and reboot and the pc come up and works all day. I'm thinking it could be either my WD external hard drive or I just got an Ipod and and installed Itune on the 8th of Aug could there be a conflict?
Below are the mini-dumps I've received

Hello and welcome to Bleepingcomputer.

Your first blue screen is related to a USB web cam driver.

Caused By Driver : Camd931a.SYS
Caused By Address : Camd931a.SYS+4f0d
File Description : Universal Serial Bus Camera Driver

Your second is related to your USB web cam again.

Bug Check String : BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER
Caused By Driver : USBPORT.SYS
Caused By Address : USBPORT.SYS+1025
File Description : USB 1.1 & 2.0 Port Driver

I believe you have a USB web cam driver which needs to be updated.
What brand of web cam do you have?

Bruce.

Hi Bruce
It's a Zoom 2.0. It just a a cheapie I pick up on the Office Depot sale table. I tried to update the driver from the device manager, but it said the it was the latest driver. I'll see if I can find the site and check for updated drivers
