I am attempting to join a windows 2000 pro machine to a windows 2000 server. When I first log into the windows 200 computer it will not allow me change the domain name or the workgroup information and tells me that I must first install networking. If I let the computer sit for about two minutes, it will then allow me to make changes. I can then enter the domain name and the username and password dialog box opens. I then receive an error message that the network path was not found. I can ping the server from cmd and if I enter \\SERVER into explorer, I have the ability to see all shared files.

Thanks for any suggestions that you may have.
