My windows XP Pro keeps shutting down with a fatal blue screen error. On start up an alert box tells me I have a error fron C drive / windows.

The error is a: MSKBASL.DLL

I have googled this dll.....nada
I have tried scannow from start/run.....nada

My machine crashes about 20 times a day and any notpead files I am working on become filled with 'nul' when my machine turns back on. Superman, if you're up there...what is this blasted dll?

Hi, let's try the following.

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html.

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When scanning is done, Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.
