I am trying to write a paper using photos and Paint objects. Everything was going fine, pictures were wrapping fine. Then I tried to add more in the text preceeding and everything below it started piling up on top of other stuff and stuff disappeared. I lost a whole mornings work. Now when I try to wrap the picture, the text disappears.

I thought maybe I was just running out of RAM, only have 580 and the doc is 1.4 MB so I tried starting a new doc.
And trying to copy part to another new doc, everything still ends up piled up and losing text. If I had time I would look for a screaming face tearing its hair out.

Help someone.

It is a problem that Microsoft did not fix but there is a workaround for this.

That fixed the wrapping problem, but parts of the text were still disappearing under previous parts or doubling up, showing both on top of each other. I gave up and switched to openoffice. I just hope I can get the two systems back together again when I finish the whole thing.

Thanks for your help.

Open Office has a forum.

I have created many docs packed with pics using Open Office and depending on your use you might find it grand after you have finished and saved to use the Open Office pdf maker to create an Adobe .pdf document.

pdf files work great and are easy to share.

EDIT
Just to streamline things

Go ahead and type or at least rough in all the text then go back and insert pics.

The pics should be sized so that you don't have to scrunch them down every time. (it will make it easier)

Double click on pics to control text flow.

Just open a text document and type away.

Insert pics, tables, graphs, charts do whatever you wanna do and save it.

Did I mention save it?

Then pull down file and chose Export as PDF.

When exporting you will need to save the pdf also.

I was wondering how anyone would read my Hebrew font, but I think PDF will take care of it.

Thanks.

Maybe the pics you wanna insert are really bid.Sometimes even the text disappears, please save the empty one too.And then use undo key and then make your original text restore.
