in the services(local) section of administrative tools, there are a whole slew of services either manual or automatic.

can someone tell me which can be disabled,,,or turned to manual. in all cases, their description is not specific about what programs are affected.

As a general rule the windows messenger service, the dcom servce and upnp are better off disabled unless you know that they are needed. For more information go to
