I have been using my GNR TS700 monitor for 5 1/2 years and have not had this problem before. The monitor has become very bright and it is hard to see the pointer especially in the welcome screen of Windows XP. I have tested my computer using another monitor as well as testing the faulty monitor on a different computer. This problem only occurs with this monitor.

Try resetting the monitor back to the factory defaults
See http://www.fixya.com/support/r3766072-ente...gnr_ts700_black
In the beginning there was the command line.

Thanks for the help. For some reason factory reset didn't work but auto colour1 fixed the problem.
