Imagine my surprise when trying to do a virus removal on a customers machine when MBAM said it was clean and it still had browser redirect and MSSE couldn't update. After a manual update of MSSE it found "Alureon" (TDSS) and MBAM completely missed it with multiple scans!

Is this a problem anyone else is having? I've been using MBAM for a long time and this is the first time my confidence has been shaken in it. :flowers:

You should be using multiple on demand scanners with mbam because simply one is not gonna catch them all. Using mbam with super antispyware, and spybot along with maybe a a online scanner like kaspersky or eset can catch pretty much everything.

I never use MBAM alone but I just got so used to it getting everything that it truly surprised me to see it miss something.

Personally I use it with KIS09 or 10. I've had good luck with it and MSSE as well.

Anyone found a better program to pair with MBAM?

Even though no program is 100% foolproof, IMHO you will be hard pressed to find a better program of the same type to MBAM.
