We had to replace our hard drive on our home computer. I think most of our music is on one of our 3 ipods. I haven't redownloaded itunes yet. When I do, will there be a way to go back to my itunes? I know my music will be gone, but is there a way to take my music from our ipods to itunes? We are running xp. TIA

Hi,

If you bought all of your music through iTunes then all you have to do is authorize iTunes then plug your iPod in and go to file and then transfer purchases.

Yes that is what you use to authorize it,, oops sorry I forgot to add how to authorize it, to do this:

To authorize a computer to play purchases using your Apple Account

1.Select a song, video, or audiobook you've purchased (in your library or the Purchased playlist).
2.Click the Play button.

If the computer is already authorized, the item plays. If the computer has not yet been authorized, iTunes asks you to enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the song.

Again after you authorize do what is described in this article:
