Hi, :bananas:

I have a Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3 and the monitor is
a HP w19b/w19e Wide LCD Monitor on NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE.

I have been having a problem with my onscreen display staying locked. I get a blue box saying
"Attention OSD Locked". You know, the  annoying box on your monitor that never goes away
and you have to constantly work around it because everything stays behind it.

I have plugged in the monitor and powered it up, holding down the Power button trying to get it
unlocked. This hasn't worked. :thumbup2:

I've tried turning on the monitor and holding down the Menu button for 20 to 30 seconds
and up to a minute. This hasn't worked either.

I've turned off the monitor, pressed down the Menu button and then turned on the monitor and
waited and waited and waited...... Still won't unlock. :thumbup2:

I have tried these fixes so many times, my monitor won't turn off and my Menu button doesn't
work anymore. :)

I have looked in my control panel and have open Display but can't find anything relating to the OSD Lock.
I have done searches in my guide and online and can't find any advice.

I have even contacted HP trying to get help and they want $100 to "fix" my problem! B)

Does anyone know how to permanently disable the OSD lock? :)

Thank you,

P.S. I love your emoticons! B)

Hi doinmeedin,

Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
I don't know where the month has gone!

I have tried that already and it does work for a short time and then
the "OSD Locked" pops up again.
