Problems installing ca security on vista 32 bit

When i tried to install ca security 2010 which was free from my isp i get half way through the install and the program freezes and does not let the install complete. i wonder if i have some malware preventing the install of c a security software can anybody help me. i was told r kill will remove the malware i think i have. but i cant find this free software thanks in advance
