I ran combofix on my computer recently because I was having problems with the audio on some videos, the computer was making the "loading" noise all the time and things were generally running slowly. I got a message part way through running combofix that said "Combofix detects rootkit activity and needs to restart" when it was done everything worked great fro about 3 days, now I am having the same problems again and I don't want to keep running combofix as it's only a temporary fix. Other than combofix I have not tried anything else to fix this problem. I'm not really great with computers so some help would be appreciated.

I suggest that you cease experimenting with ways to solve this...I will move your post to the Am I Infected forum where more knowledgeable persons can address your possible malware issues.
