Slow computer, missing Spybot, Avira was not running.
Reinstalled Spybot but no threat found, Avira will now start on reboot after manual start, complete scan nothing found. Ran CCleaner. Computer still very slow. I did not see anything that stuck out in Window Task Manager / Processes. Running very few Startup Item in System Configuration Utility / Startup.
XP Pro 2002, SP3, AMD 64 3500+, 1GB RAM

EDIT: Removed HJT log, no indication of malware posted, logs not allowed in XP forum ~ Hamluis.

Slow computer...the system in all phases...or just IE?

System manufacturer and model?

How large is C: partition, how much free space on C:?

Any error messages onscreen?

Have you taken a look in Event Viewer...at errors only...for possible clues?

Your questions may have helped me locate my problem, in looking at my Hard Drives and sizes I noticed I had only 2 GB free on my main HD. I'm going to clean up the unnecessary stuff and report back.

Cleaned up 20GB on my primary HD and everything seem to be running fine now. This is something that I should of noticed but was focused another direction because of the missing Spybot and Antivirus. Thanks for the input and much needed help.
