Recently, my computer has been lagging severely, because of a object identifed by the program "Process Explorer" as DPCs (Deffered Procedure Calls). The CPU usage is at 100%. I have done some research and have determened several things:
  • The problem is not caused by hardware overheating.
  • The problem is not caused by a driver issue.
  • The problem is not caused by a virus.
  • DPCs seems to be unimportant, thus it may be a good idea to disable this part of the system.
  • The problem is not caused by a hardware issue.
I am looking for a way to either remove DPCs completely, disable DPCs, or reduce the amount of my CPU that DPCs is using.

Thanks in advance. You have helped me in the past (Security Master AV), and i am sure you will be able to help me now.

@Hamluis

Thanks, that sounds like it might work. I will try this and see what it can do. However, because this is my parent's computer, I will have to see if it is ok with them.

It's always good to check when the system belongs to someone else :thumbsup:. Keep us posted.

No problem for us :thumbsup:.

As for your life situation...might as well realize that the vast majority of the living...have historically been on the credit/liabilities side of the ledger of human history. It's not unusual to dislike...to like or love is highly unusual, IMO :flowers:.
