Hi,

I have a Spam Agent virus that has infected my svchost.exe and was directed to using ComboFix, when running this everything worked as described in the instructions until the AutoScan. I'm not sure how long the Autoscan should take but it has displayed the message 'Sanning for infected files......' overnight and doesn't seem to be doing anything, I can still use the computer, internet email etc. What do think is the problem, should I stop ComboFix and restart.

Thank you

Hello dbnk,

Combofix can (just as any program) hang for a number of reasons, usually highly dependent on the state of your computer/programs you are running. You mention you were directed to use Combofix; in that case it would be good to get back to the one who instructed you to do this in case you are already being helped at another forum.

@ Zhhe, I recommend you start a separate topic, describing the exact nature of your problem. That way two separate issues will be treated as such without causing confusion.

regards, Elise
