Help! My Computer Turns On And Then Turns Off After Like 3 Secs

I just built a computer and cannot get it to work. Every time i turn it on the fans start up for like 5 seconds na dthen the machine will turn off. I dont have a chance to put the boot disk in or anything. Please dont suggest cmos i have already tried this. Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried reseating your RAM, cards, and power connections on the motherboard?

Have you tried reseating your RAM, cards, and power connections on the motherboard?

how do i go about doing that?Im kinda a newb at this type of thing.

I built it and im fairly confident i did it right because i had help from a fairly knowledgeable person.

Thats good. What I meant by reseating, was to pull your RAM and reinsert it to make sure it is well seated. Do this to ever plugin item in your computer.

DO you think that might cause the computer to turn on and the fans all turn off and then unexpectedly turn off like 5 seconds after the fans strated? Thanks for the help btw

In a new computer it not uncommon. It should only take a few minutes.
