Hi All,
I am not technical but trying! My computer upstairs is wired to the internet, I have a modem and a linksys box.
My laptop downstairs I can usually get online, now I can't. The problem seems to be that there are about 4 network drives set up (I don't think I have a network - at least not a server). When the laptop was originally set up by Circuit City.
Should I just try and connect with the HP wizard.
Thanks in advance for your help

Go to the start menu and search for command prompt.Right click and choose 'Run as administrator'. Then in the command prompt window type ipconfig/release.After that switch off the router for ten seconds .Switch on the router and in the command prompt type ipconfig/renew .That should help....
