Hello

All of the icons and programs on my wife's laptop havebeen changed to .lnk and I can't open anything. What can I do?

Reset the file and program associations http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/file-ass...-for-windows-7/
Don't run the free scan, just download the script, right click, run as Administrator and merge the correct association.

Hmmm...lnk is the normal file extension indicating a shorcut.

Are you talking desktop icons...if so, most of those are shortcuts.
