Hi, All i have a desktop windows 7 (zoostorm) and i can't do a windows update can anyone please help?

More information can help us to determine the problem that you are having

Is there a error massage when trying to opening the Windows Update box in Windows 7.

Make sure your firewall and/or AV program isn't blocking it.

Control Panel>>Troubleshooting>> View all (on left) >> scroll down to bottom, click "Windows Update" >> Follow instructions.

you might try this...

go to
Control Panel / Internet Options / Connections / LAN - Settings

If the Proxy settings is checked, uncheck it.

Hi Thanks to you all i tried all your suggestions but still no luck the error Code 80072EFE keeps popping up proxy settings unchecked

Copy and paste these lines in Note pad.

@Echo on
pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset all
netsh int ip reset all
shutdown -r -t 1
del %0


Save as flush.bat to your desktop. Right click to run as Administrator. Your computer will reboot itself.

Now see if you can get the updates.
