Hi. Prompted by some brilliant help on this site resolving some malware, I have decided to try and sort out wireless for my pc. I am having absolutely no success and, to be honest, haven't actually got a clue what I need to do. Please can someone point me in the right direction? I am using Windows XP. My ISP is Tiscali. I have a Belkin Wireless G adaptor and a Thomson G router. When I plug everything in and go to Network Connections, the Internet Gateway shows as connected, the LAN shows as connected and the Wireless Network Connection shows as Not Connected. Double clicking on this leads me to a screen telling me that Windows cannot congifure my wireless connection.

The router has solid lights for power, wireless, broadband and internet and a flashing light for the ethernet connection. It did not come with an installation cd. Should it?

When I click on the Belkin icon on my desktop it does not show the Thomson router - although it does show a BT Hub - presumably one of my neighbours?

I'm not sure what to do next. Any ideas gratefully received!

Hello and welcome to Bleepingcomputer.

Can you please post the model number of your Thomson brand router?

Kind regards.
