Can anybody help? My laptop refuses to startup, "Startup Repair" continually scans and is unable to repair anything. I have looked at the log and it says that "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\aliide.sys" is corrupt. It wont do a system restore bacause it says there are no restore points. I find this hard to believe as the laptop is nearly 2 years old. I at least want to recover my data before I am forced to reload the OS. Might just toss the bleeping thing out since Vista has been nothing but trouble on this thing from day 1!
