I'll try and keep it short, I have this virus somehow, and I've read a bunch of removal articles, but this seems to behave a little differently.

MBAM detects it, and will remove it, but it keeps coming back.

The windows malicious software tool reports something like 2464 infected files before I pressed cancel. I'm still not sure if it's a legit windows tool, but it appears to be.

So what can I use to remove this thing?

Running winxp pro SP3, but I downloaded sp3 from microsoft update so I only have a winxp pro sp2 cd.
