Are you talking about recently played?

You can prevent it from doing so...

Media Player has a library which stores the music that is played via the Media Player. It's part of the Media Player application.

You will find it in the following directory, assuming your drive is C:

C:\Program files\Windows Media Player

You will find a folder called libraries if you created one when you used Media player.

Some OSes may move it to the libraries folder with the music note icon called music such as the case with Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Bruce.
