Thanks in advance for taking the time to look at my problem.

I'm running Windows XP, AVG 9, Spy Bot and Ad Aware. When I use Google, I get sent to sites totally unrelated to search. Plus my computer has slowed down while surfing (due to cookies?) And when I click to cnn.com (for example) an additional web page will load for unrelated sites.

Thanks again for your help.

Try this:

The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
