Hello,

Download Brute Force Uninstaller.
Unzip it to a folder of it’s own (c:\BFU).
Read here how to unzip/extract properly:
http://metallica.geekstogo.com/xpcompressedexplanation.html
Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by doubleclicking BFU.exe

Next to the 'scriptfile to execute'-window you'll see a little icon as shown in next picture: Posted Image
When you click that icon, a little window will open that says: 'Please enter the full URL to the sript you want to execute'
In the field, copy and paste next URL:

http://metallica.geekstogo.com/p2pnetwork.bfu

Click Ok
Then click execute in Brute Force Uninstaller.

Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.
Press exit to terminate the BFU program.

Post back to this topic using the add reply button with a fresh HijackThis log.

Hi,

I still want you to perform an onlinescan though.
Also tell me in your next reply what error you get when you try to run Spybot.

But first perform this:

* Perform an online scan with Kaspersky Online Scanner

Click "Launch Kaspersky Anti-Virus Web Scanner"
You will be prompted if you want to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, click yes.
This will start downloading the latest definition files.
Once the files have been downloaded click on "Next"

* Click "Scan Settings"
Select the following in Scan Settings (normally they are already selected by default)

°Scan using the following Anti-Virus database: Standard

°Scan Options: Scan Archives
Scan Mail Bases

* Click OK
* Under select a target to scan, select "My Computer"

* This program will start to scan your system.
The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
When the scan is done, it will show a list of infected files found.

* Click on the "Save as Text"- button:
Save the scan log and post it in your next reply.

Yes, that's normal when you run several programs together and running a scan that you can get errors.

Anyway, seems like the infected files are in your Recycle bin and System restore points.

So empty your recycle bin.

Now let's deal with your system restore points. For that we need to disable them and reenable again after reboot to get rid of those files...
So perform next:

1. Click Start, Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the System icon. The System Properties dialog box appears.

NOTE: If the System icon is not visible, click "View all Control Panel options" to display it.

3. Click the Performance tab, and then click File System.
4. Click the Troubleshooting tab, and then check Disable System Restore.
5. Click OK. Click Yes, when you are prompted to restart Windows.

After reboot..

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click System, and then click the Performance tab.
3. Click File System, and then click the Troubleshooting tab.
4. Uncheck Disable System Restore.
5. Click OK. Click Yes, when you are prompted to restart Windows.
