i am (obviously) on the low end of the technological knowledge base.
i am needing to replace my Micron PC GX2 notebook's harddrive, and am wanting to upgrade the RAM - how do i know if the ones i am looking at on newegg.com are compatible with that notebook? gracias.

They should say they are compatible with your laptop, or there should be a cross-reference somewhere.

Here is a memory seller (chosen at random) who states the RAM is for a Micron Transport GX2 for example:
memory store

You could also run a memory advisor such as the one at the top of this page.
Or use the ones at the website of your preferred memory manufacturer (Crucial, Kingston, etc.)

I found these references at ebay.

I also found infomation that it uses a 9.5 mm 2.5 inch hard drive. Check PriceWatch for comparions.
