I have similar symtoms. Computer is on for 24 hrs. +- and the keyboard & mouse become unresponsive. (before that 24 hrs. the machine runs great) If I'm able to open a program a typical message error is: "Notepad.exe - Application error - The application failed to initialize properly (0x000012d) Click OK to terminate the application" (my quotes). I am forced to restart the computer.
I was sent to this forum from the anti malware forum who (I think) originally did find some instances of malware, however since the varmint has been removed the symtom has returned and they sent me here. {Marti} They suggested I do a reinstall- it dosen't appear to be too difficult with the Dell reinstall disc.
