Normally when you go online or open a document, they should be displayed on the taskbar, shouldn't they? But lately, my computer stops doing that.

I've run a virus check , but seems to be clear.
Clicked on the taskbar trying to do some sort of resettings but to no avail!

Please help!

For example, when you have your web browser open, there is nothing on the taskbar saying you have it open? Or does this problem only occur with one program or file type?

First of all, thank you for trying to help!

It happens to all things: browers, word document, PDF.....,there is just no sign they are there at all on the taskbar. The only way I can toggle between them is to use the task manager where they are shown to be existing.

One thing I should clarify, the quick launch , the clocks and things are all showing.

Go here
Clisk the link that says Minimized Programs Missing
Then restart
In the beginning there was the command line.

Thanks Theshooter93 for the input.
It has work insofar as the taskbar is concerned, the taskbar is displaying what is running.
But, for some reason, it has taken away the DivX player which I updated yesterday  .
