Today I saw a young girl with a note book or a mini-type laptop, wireless and she had it plugged

into her ear, it appeared that she was talking to someone, . . .

Whats the deal with this, . . ??

I suppose it is Skype ?

DoYall do that ?

It could have been Skype. My daughter uses it with some of her friends. Most netbooks have a webcam built-in, and many have bluetooth (who ever came up with that name?!) for a wireless earpiece.

Personally, I see no advantage in being accessible always and everywhere!

I'm not exactly sure how all that works with a wireless note book,

I stopped and asked her if she could view the screen well in the out door light,

she told me not to well, . .

but if you have built in cams and your talking to someone, . .

I guess that's, pretty cool,

If I could afford it I'd have one and talk to my pen pals around the world.

They come a time for sure where will all have one, . .

I remember the Sci Fi movies back in the fifties, when you'd see someone talking on the

phone and there was a monitor for the two way conversation,

It was really a way out there thing back then.

That's why I never answer the cell phone when it rings. If it's someone that wants to talk to me, they can leave a voicemail.

Cell phone? :flowers:

Actually, I have one in the car to use for emergencies. I doubt I use it more than a couple times a year. I had to call Triple-A for a dead battery a few weeks ago and I couldn't tell the operator what my cell phone number was to call me back!
