I recently was looking at computer protection programs and ran across one called XOFTSPY. I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the quality of the results from it. It seemed to find a registry entry it labeled as a serious threat.

It labeled the vendor as: IBIS/Hunt Toolbar
The type as a: Registry key
The category is: Data Miner
The object: software\folder manager
The danger: High threat

I have no idea if its legit and should be deleted or not. The reason for my skepticism is this is found after running
AVG virus scan
Spybot S&D
Adaware
Windows Registry repair pro
MS Antispyware and

None of these programs found it. It also listed a bunch of Morpheus files as annoyances. None of the other programs found them either.

Do you all think I should let the program delete the IBIS/Hunt Toolbar.

XoftSpy has been incorrectly labeled as rogue software. tests indicate that XoftSpy does not install spyware, adware, or other malware on your PC, nor does it appear that they’ve appropriated freeware source code. However, it does not appear to offer comparable protection to other products tested and it has a higher price point.

Vendor: XoftSpy

Free Trial: No, but will perform a free scan. This I googled. doubt the findings and the price , when there is better for free, makes no sense. Probably won't hurt to delete the toolbar. Try to quarantine it and see if it is there.
Spike's advice: Backup your data routinely.
