I have used all the tools familiar to me such as combofix, gmer, malwarebytes, eset online and more, all but Kaspersky seems to detect it, and even Kaspersky and its removal tool can't seem to get rid of it. I am wondering if this is an updated rootkit since not too many have been exposed to it. Help!

Before I installed Kaspersky, I noticed the rootkit would create such files as 94235502.sys, 94235502.dat, 94235502.inf etc, as well as inject the file name in the registry under "non-plug and play devices". I have attached my DDS.txt file as per the instructions. Gmer is still scanning and will attach it as soon as its done. The pc crashed once before while gmer was scanning so I want to make sure you guys at least have something to by while I'm waiting for gmer.

I wanted to say thank you very much to bleepingcomputer helpers for being there and helping everyone to remove their most challenging viruses and spyware. I can't tell you how many times I have been able to get a solution from here concerning viruses/spyware/rootkits and more.

I also wanted to thank Kaspersky for being able to to detect this rootkit where others would not.

In the final analysis, after about a week of trying to get rid of this pesky rootkit, I was able to get rid of it using Hitman Pro (http://download.cnet.com/Hitman-Pro-3/3000-2239_4-10895604.html).

Again thanks to gringo and bleepingcomputer helpers for helping us, please keep up the good work!

You can now close this thread if you wish.
