LAPTOP SPECS: Sony VAIO, Windows XP SP3, 2GB of RAM

I am having trouble with my laptop. It's been acting all strange lately.

I was playing on the computer and everything seems to be fine and all the sudden, the webpages started lagging, and freezing up and when I press ALT CTRL DEL, I cant enter Task Manager because there is an error 0xc00002d. When I try to open other exe. files, I also get an error, and 3-4 more click, I get the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH and it restarts itself.

Could it be overheating? I thought it was, so I went to buy a cooler mat. FAILED
Could it be the RAM? I have tried different RAM from the original RAMs to my current one. FAILED
Could it be virus/spyware/adware? I scan with NOD32, Malwarebyte, Spybot S&D and it came up clean
Could it be Hardware problem? Everything seems fine to me

So I don't know what is going on!!! Maybe there is something I am missing, so I need help figuring it out.

Thanks in advanced of those who helped.

WHEN WILL I EVER GET ANY HELPPP...

EDIT: Please be patient. There are over 440 unanswered topics in this forum at present and the current average wait time to receive help is well over a week. ~BP

Hi you had another topic about the same issue here> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/332452/0xc00002d-problems-and-exe-problems/
You did not reply also it is most likely a hardware problem not malware.
I will look into your logs if you post back otherwise this topic will be closed.
  • Download OTL to your desktop.
  • Double click on OTL to run it.
  • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
  • Under the Standard Registry box change it to All.
  • Under Custom scan's and fixes section paste in the below in bold

    netsvcs
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.*
    %systemroot%\system32\*.dll /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\Tasks\*.job /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\System32\config\*.sav
    %systemroot%\system32\drivers\*.sys /90
    %systemroot%\system32\Spool\prtprocs\w32x86\*.dll

  • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
    • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply.

Please do not pm for help, post it in the forums instead.

If I am helping you and have not responded for 48 hours please send me a pm as I don't always get notifications.

Kahdah,

I run the OTL twice because EXTRAS.txt didn't pop up when normally it does, so I thought it might of been an error so I rescan a second time. Now the OTL scan is complete, and somehow only the OTL.txt popped up again.

see attachment.

Please go to Start > My Computer C:\Windows\minidump\
There will be a alot of files there more than likely.
Zip up the last four then click Here to upload the .zip file please.

Are you certain that this is the stop code that you get:
Oxc00002d

See if you can get it to happen again and tell me exactly what the stop code is.
Please do not pm for help, post it in the forums instead.

I get the BSOD and it disappear fast and restart so I don't really know the stop code... For the 0xc00002d, I am sure of it when it computer starts to lag and I tried to CTRL ATL DEL, that code pops up. Then will I click a few times, I get BSOD and it restarts the computer.

I will need more information let's try this.
I need you to disable automatic restart on system failure so you can see the blue screen.
To disable that follow the instructions here > http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstricks/h...autorestart.htm
After that use it like normal and try to get it to blue screen and let me know the exact set of numbers for example it will look similar to this > STOP: 0x00000006F (0xC00002D, 0x0000000, 0x0000000, 0x0000000)

Please do not pm for help, post it in the forums instead.

Okay I will try that, but last night, the pages just froze out of no where and I couldn't see the pages. I think it could be a hardware problem such as RAM. But I also think it's affected by a unknown viruses. It so strange that my WINDOWS/MINIDUMP is emptyy.... is that normal?

But did you find anything unusual when looking at my HJT log??

I will try the automatic restart and will report back.

There is no malware in your log it is a hardware issue.

Probably not it may even be a driver issue but I need more information to determine what is causing it to happen.
