Using a Dell Inspirion 1440. Recently aware that when clicking on volume control icon located on the taskbar, that I am no longer able to see the animations that normally appear when a sound is playing on the laptop (Green bar fluctuating up and down). Have tried reinstalling drivers, but that did not help. Any suggestions?

Have you changed anything such as installing any new programs or installing any new hardware since this started?
