I have just installed AOL Instant Messenger and Yahoo Messenger to my external harddrive and would like to do the same with Windows Live. The problem is Windows Live does not allow you to choose where you install it to and automatically wants to install to the PC. Does anyone know how to get it to install to a specific location?

Windows Live...as any other program...should be installed to the default program location.

No advantage (IMO) is gained by installing programs to an external hard drive, while the registry entries are on the Windows partition on the main system. The two together enable the program to function.
