Hi.

AntiVir has gone berserk and put thousands (literally) of files in the quarantine.
I'd like to restore them, but I can only do it by restoring them one by one.

If I select more than one file from the quarantine the restore button is greyed, and also pressing F3 doesn't work.

Anyone know how to automatically restore all the quarantined files?

Thanks.

PS: Sorry for my bad english :D

Avira User Manual: 5.2.10 Quarantine: Restore the files in quarantine

If that many files were moved to quarantine you either have a serious infection or something else is wrong, possibly with the scanning engine. You may want to check with Avira Support.

Yeah, I read the manual.
It says "Highlight the file and click etc. etc."

My problem is that if I highlight more than one file I can't restore them.

And I have to restore more than 6000 files. :D

Do as quietman7 says.

Additional suggestion - try Avira user forum. You will likely get help there.
http://forum.avira.com/wbb/index.php

You should describe your Windows system and what version of Antivir you're running, which you can see from the Help menu and drill down to Versions.

They will ask you to post a TrendMicro HijackThis log to rule out infections

Do you recognize any of the files that have been flagged? Like, do they belong to programs that you are aware of?
