this happened after i installed a registration cleaner ive scaned with ESET smart secuirty it found a few problems but not the problem im having now im running xp service pack 3 and i cant update.i did a system restore but the problem is still here....

the problem im having now im running xp service pack 3 and i cant update.i did a system restore but the problem is still here....

Exactly what do you want to update ?? Uninstall the Reg Cleaner in Control Panel > Add Remove > click on the program to uninstall it -

Chances are it is due to some infection - Download Malwarebytes at www.malwarebytes.org > Install the program (free version only) > Check for Updates - Then run a Quick scan only - If anything is found then Delete it or Quarantine it -

What...did you install, please?

Have you tried removing/disabling your browser add-ons?

ive uninstalled the registration cleaner and used malewarebyte and im still having the problem
