I've been having issues with my dvd player in my HP Pavilion dv6000 Vista. I believe I got that fixed now, but am having issues with my Roxio program. I tried to open Roxio today to burn some pics to a dvd, and it won't even open. The first time I clicked on it, I got a popup that says the drivers are disabled and that I need to uninstall or enable..... Don't know what that means, but now when I click on Roxio, I just get the blue circle for a few seconds then nothing. I did have Microsoft updates last night, but haven't used Roxio in awhile so I'm not sure how long it hasn't worked.
Thanks in advance for your time

Did you try to reinstall it?

Thanks for the reply. No, I did not uninstall it. I didn't get any discs with my HP, so I have nothing to reinstall. I clicked on it again this am after restarting and it showed the box about all my drivers being disabled. What drivers would it be talking about?

One sidenote.... I was having issues with my dvd drive not recognizing anything when I put a disc in it, so after researching the prob, I was told to go to regedit and delete the upper and lower filters, which I did. After that my dvd drive is working fine but now the problem with Roxio opening.... I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or the Microsoft updates that just went through or something else????

This morning, I tried to burn to a new RW disc, and it asks to format it. The formatting takes longer than normal, and at the end the drive spins very loudly. It never finishes the formatting. So I'm wondering if this is a disc drive problem. In device manager, its showing that it is working normal.

You can safely live without Roxio.
You'll never use even 10% of all its features.
To me it's a worthless behemoth.

See, if CDBurnerXP will work fine (free): http://cdburnerxp.se/
