Inconsistent Ability To POST or Access BIOS/SYSTEM

OK So I'm not exactly a newb but clearly I have a few things to learn -
That said... I've NEVER seen this type of issue(s) before.
4 months ago I had a BSOD 0x000000D0 once. On restart the system noted the incident, recovered and appeared to have no ill effects for 3+ months.
Next BSOD indicated an issue regarding winfl32.sys. Net Forums offered various opinions that didn't identify one (or more) specific issues to address. Several indicated spyware removal and others offered removal of the FolderLock program. (Have been using FolderLock for several years without incident and have not recently upgraded to newer versions). I progressed through standard spyware/virus/malware/hijackthis procedures in Safemode to identify any unknown and unwelcome transients loafing in my system. Cable modem to Netgear Router to system (wired) using Comodo (not using XP firewall) Avast, AVG, HJT, etc (belt and suspenders approach) One full day of work had a net result that was null.
Subsequent two attempts to boot went from <1 min to >4 min. Several additional attempts to boot produced a hang during the boot sequence. My system (listed below) has a feature called "Express Gate" (firmware apps for browsing, photo, skype, music, PC sharing, Etc) This loads before the boot sequence but still allows direct access to all system HDD's. No problem reading and accessing all files thru this "portal?". I did a complete C: drive review and was not able to identify anything unusual.
With too many other things to do I put this PC on hold for 5 days. Final system start (today) allowed me to start windows (XP SP2) in safemode. Ran HiJackThis and saved log file (Also Below) Not listed in this logfile is an app called kuudrr.exe (apparently not installed) Google found two (yes only 2) references to this program. I found this in a previous HJT iteration and it was removed but Im very curious about an unknown app present on my system principally because the problems appeared after its removal. Im not convinced that these problems are software related because of the POST hangs and my inability to access the BIOS. I replaced clock battery which also had no effect. My next move is a PSU swap (but even I think thats a huge hail Mary) Any ideas for resolution of this mess would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any helpful comments.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a DDS log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

We also need a new log from the GMER anti-rootkit scanner. Please first disable any CD emulation programs using the steps found in this topic:

Apparent Solution to my system inconsistencies. First partial fix was the complete removal and "Cleansing" of all previous video driver related files" and the installation of the latest driver package for my specific workstation video card. Second step was a thorough exam and diagnosis of my system RAM after receiving a PFN - BSOD. Memtest86 ran for 58 minutes and finally revealed 2 errors. Since one is too many i was able to determine that one of my memory sticks has flown south for the winter. The last item I've changes is the addition of a more robust 1000w UPS to filter the electrical flow. I did this because of the power interruptions we've had in our area recently. 10 days without any issues 8-12 hours each day of moderate to heavy 3D modeling and engineering work. I'll stop by here again for a subsequent report if any further developments occur. Thanks for the reply. So far it's OK.
