I only just recently recovered my computer from a virus that took over my computer and almost completely locked me out, it seems even after several scans from avast!, ad-aware and malwarebytes, 1 entity remains which appears to be directdr as the appears for a split second before redirecting me to another random website when using google, aswell as pop ups of websites that are a threat to secrurity which avast! blocks.

Im running microsoft windows XP proffesional SP3, i need help getting rid of directdr as my antiviruses alone wont touch it, and recently i seems to a posiple link to another problem where a process called "Generic host process from Win32 services" brings up a windows error and after that renders my comouter useless as it cant open anything including console of programs, i have to restart from power button to restart. This usually occurs about rouhly 20minutes after start up, usually before this happens i get 2 warnings from avast saying it has blocked one of my svchost processes then usally right after the crash happens. I dont know if this is licked of not but this never happened before and I am uncertain how to fix this issue, please help..

Try this:

The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
