Hi, an acquaintance has just e-mailed me an attachment for a strategy game he's developing but it's in 'odt' format whatever that is.
I downloaded it to my desktop but when I try to open it I get the Win XP Home message "cannot open this type of file".
Any ideas how I can open it?

It's the default format for OpenOffice. You can download and install OpenOffice or you could ask your friend to save the document in a different format such as doc or rtf and resend it.
