Hi guys,

Recently my computer has been having problems with sound and a random internet explorer popup. Sometimes when I'm listening to music on youtube, the volume will just go away by itself. I don't change the volume at all. I noticed that if I moved the wave level around, the sound will come back. Also, sometimes when my sound "disappears," the wave is all the way at the bottom. However, sometimes it's still at the same spot and I still have no sound.

In addition, when I look at task manager, I see two iexplore.exe processes when I don't even use internet explorer. Also, randomly, I'll get a popup for internet explorer, but it won't load any specific page. It's a 404, can't be found page.

I don't know what's the problem, but from what I've searched for on the internet, it might be an iexplore.exe trojan. But I'm not sure whatsoever.

Thanks for your help.

It might also be a whistlerbootkit.

Ok. I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum. Can someone move it to the appropriate forum? Sorry.
