I am really having a problem with this line reappearing on re-boot after I do a cleanup with HijackThis.

O23 - Service: ASP.NET State Service (aspnet_state) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_state.exe (file missing)

The box uses MS XP/SP3 as an OS.

Interestingly, Add or Remove Programs does not show Microsoft.NET, Framework, or ASP.NET although file folder shown above is populated with program/system files, so maybe I incompletely deleted the program, leaving a registry entry.

I've searched the web, including this forum and cannot find a reasonable answer to remove this O23 indicator.

Thanks for you help.
