Last night my computer worked fine. On switching it on this morning, i still use it, i browse the net, i use microsoft word then suddenly my computer freeze for about 3 mins then i restart then I get the error message:

"A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart"


i recently search the net on how to fix the problem but the solutions are almost similar, they say that i need an xp cd, but my cd rom is not ejecting.. i dont know why, i tried inserting a pin many times but still no luck... please help me i want to recover my files. :thumbsup:

please check your hardrive cable...does it fit/plug properly or not...
and check does your hardrive is recognized by BIOS or not...
