:thumbsup: i have windows xp sp2. on some programs i have used it asks for my isp to send a message. one such program is answers that work where it asks you to send the item it cannot identify. i get the message cannot identify my isp or smtp. what or where can i find these on my computer. im not too knowledgeable but not a newbie. any help appreciated. thanks, van

I think what these applications want is an Email address rather than your ISP, which is none of their business.If you use POP email, you can find the ISP/E-mail provider's SMTP on it's home page or under the FAQ about setting up POP accounts. If you use Web E-mail, then simply provide them with one of your (throwaway, hopefully) addresses.

If I didn't understand your question correctly, please put it in another way.
