I recently recieved a used computer from a neighbor, and it is in pretty good condition, considering I only need a laptop in emergency cases or to let people who aren't very tech savvy use.

I am currently using Comcast's network with the SSID labeled as "TresAmigos". My wireless router is the Wireless-N 150 router from NETGEAR and the model number is WNR1000v2.

The old network this computer was hooked up to was called "BethsNetwork" and it was a run of the mill ATT 2WIRE router.

When I check out the wireless signals in range, my TresAmigos pops up, but it constantly says validating identity. The old network is still in range, and I just want it to connect to my network, because I would feel bad for taking her internet connection.

When I check what it says I'm connected to, it says BethsNetwork(TresAmigos). Then it pops up and says that "windows couldn't find a certificate to connect to TresAmigos."

What can I do so it stops reaching her network and just connects to my signal?

Thanks for your time.
