Specifications:

Decent battery life (at least 3-4 hours, ideally more)
17"+ screen
1080p display
Able to play new games at max or near max setting at max resolution
Under $2,000

You'd definitely be fine with this .

You can also customize the specs for your desire. Look at the CyberPower PCs, they have a lot of good, affordable, gaming laptops/desktops.

Asus G73 meets your requirement and some. Also try looking around on xoticpc.com for some other models
